Upcoming Workshop BEYOND BAD APPLES Project’s Guidance Documents on Addressing Misconduct and Promoting Research Integrity at European Conference on Ethics and Integrity in Academia 2025 ECEIA conference, Uppsala University in Sweden on 16^th-19^th June 2025.

The Horizon Europe Project BEYOND BAD APPLES (BEYOND for short) will be hosting a workshop at ECEIA 2025 in Uppsala, taking place between June 16th and 19th. This interactive session will focus on the project’s forthcoming guidance documents aimed at supporting institutions and individuals in addressing research misconduct and promoting a culture of research integrity across Europe.

About the Workshop

As BEYOND approaches its final phase, the consortium will release by the end of 2025 the BEYOND Guidelines, Best Practices Manual, and a forward-looking 2030 Roadmap—a set of practical and strategic tools to support meaningful change in research environments. These documents aim to shift the conversation away from the "bad apples" narrative—which frames misconduct as isolated incidents caused by individuals—toward a more holistic understanding that accounts for structural and systemic factors.

This workshop invites attendees to engage with the project team, review key content from the guidance documents, and offer input that will help refine the materials before publication.
