Daniele Fanelli is a Metaresearcher and research integrity specialist. His empirical work aims at assessing the prevalence and causes of misconduct, bias and other threats to scientific progress. His theoretical work is developing and testing a new theory and methodology to quantify knowledge and other cognitive processes. He is also a member of two national committees, the Luxembourg Agency for Research Integrity and Italy’s National Research Council’s Committee on Bioethics and Research Integrity, for both of which he is an advisor on research integrity policies and an investigator on allegations of scientific misconduct.
