Emmi Kaaya is a junior research fellow and PhD student in practical philosophy at University of Tartu. Her work focuses on research ethics, more specifically on the issues of informed consent in the context Open Science and biobanking. Alongside doing research she continues to work part-time as a midwife and nurse and was the coordinating nurse at the Epidemiologic Operations Unit at the City of Helsinki during recent pandemic.
