Germán Novoa-Heckel

Dr. Germán Novoa-Heckel is a Physician graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, UNAM. He specialized in Pharmaceutical Medicine and has a master's degree in medical sciences with a specialty in clinical research, where he graduated with honors. He obtained his PhD in Research in Medicine. He completed postdoctoral studies in Bioethics at the University Program of Bioethics. He has complementary studies in the form of diplomas in Administration, Marketing, Clinical Pharmacology and Bioethics. He was a physician and Medical Director in the Pharmaceutical Industry for more than 20 years. He has presented and attended multiple courses, symposia, conferences and local and international congresses, as well as updates in medical, clinical, administrative and humanistic sciences throughout his career. He has been a professor in various programs at UNAM and IPN, and is also the author of multiple refereed articles nationally and internationally. He worked as a researcher at the University Program of Bioethics (PUB), UNAM for many years. He is also a subject teacher in the Department of History and Philosophy of Medicine for the subject of Ethics, Bioethics and Professionalism and is an Associate Researcher and professor at the Faculty of Bioethics of the Anahuac University. He is president (Axis Clinicals -founder) and member (ENEO) respectively in Research Ethics Committees. He participated in the Seminar of Medicine and Health (UNAM-FacMed) and is a founding member of the Interdisciplinary Seminar of Bioethics (SIB), and member of the Mexican National Academy of Bioethics. He is a member of the advisory board of the Anahuac Center for Strategic Development in Bioethics (CADEBI) of the Anahuac University.
