Rowena co-leads and works to drive the growth of the Innovation & Research services of Trilateral. She carries out legal and policy research related to new technologies and provides regulatory, industry and policy advice. Rowena’s background lies in research and consultancy in law (including human rights), ethics and impacts of new and emerging technologies. She has expertise in impact assessments (privacy, legal, ethical, socio-economic), comparative legal analysis, privacy, and data protection. She has a keen interest in the intersections of ethics and law in relation to new technologies, responsible research and innovation, cybersecurity, and law enforcement research. In BEYOND, Rowena leads the study of the socio-economic aspects of research misconduct.
