Susanne is a qualitative social scientist with a PhD in Care Ethics and a master’s degree in psychology and health law. Her research focus is on qualitative interdisciplinary research concerning vulnerable people. She investigates real live cases in society from a juridical, (care) ethical, and healthcare perspective. For example, she has conducted research on good care for people with Korsakoff syndrome and on euthanasia of people with advanced dementia. She teaches healthcare professionals and students at various universities in health law and ethics (moral deliberation) and supervises bachelor- and master students doing research in the final stage of their studies. She is involved in BEYOND in WP1, WP2 and some minor involvement in WP 6, WP 7 and WP 8.
